Square One

Retracing footsteps,
Going back to the start,
Taking down these walls,
Burning these bridges,
Searching for my old heart.

Excruciating pain,
Will not take me away
No, I will not stop
Running back to the past,
Coming back to that day.

Reliving each moment,
Remembering how She was,
How She thought, how She felt
How She have always been,
Before She irrevocably turns to dust.

Smoke is contagious, smoke is blinding: beware
Do not be entrapped by its soothing, gentle care.
Smoke fills the room with subtle pain,
Smoke can kill you, but because smoke can tame:
Every intake, two, three seconds
Every puff, four, five,

Smoke can make you feel alive.
